I've gotten so many compliments on my baking, especially my cupcakes, that I've decided to share this special recipe with you! They may not be the prettiest looking in these photos, but they will forever be my favorite.
Seeing all the pictures people are posting from their snowy vacations and from Sundance Film Festival got me thinking about all the things I love about the cold weather...which of course is mainly the clothing! I love finding unique items (hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, etc.) to wear for the season but I also like pairing them with more traditional items (snow jackets & pants, etc.)...
or those of you who are planning to attend a New Years party this year, there are only a few more days to get the perfect outfit. Don't stress yourself out though because you don't have to rush out to the store, spend money on a dress you likely will end up forgetting in the back of your closet again until this time next year, or shop online and pay a ton to get a dress delivered in time for your party.
Unfortunately, I'm the Queen of last minute gifts this year. Some years I will be way ahead of the game, but this year, no matter how much I tried, something else just came up and took priority. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime! They are totally saving me this year!! Here are some ideas for last minute gifts that I found on Amazon.
Sunday we spent the day at home watching football and baking cookies. With this little one being only a few months old last year I didn't have an opportunity to bake, so I took advantage of Kyle being home to bake cookies. I made a few dozen chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter blossoms, regular peanut butter cookies, and sand-tarts.
If I add being away from Sophia, the stress of driving in traffic to/from the office, and the uninspiring look of the office does little to stay motivated while in the office. I decided that I would do a little office makeover and try to liven things up a bit. I am planning to put up some photos of friends & family, framed art, and wall decals; in addition to a mirror to add some depth to the room and a comfy throw to keep me warm since I tend to run cold. I've shared a few other things I've found that would be a great gift for any working mom.
