...Each year the company I work for does a business trip somewhere for a portion of the U.S. business. I am lucky enough to be one of the group that is now invited. This year's conference was in Brooklyn. While it was not as far away (or warm) as past sites, it was still really exciting!
Sunday we spent the day at home watching football and baking cookies. With this little one being only a few months old last year I didn't have an opportunity to bake, so I took advantage of Kyle being home to bake cookies. I made a few dozen chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter blossoms, regular peanut butter cookies, and sand-tarts.
One of my absolute favorite memories as far back as I can remember is the tradition of going to chop down a Christmas tree each year with my parents and brother. Each year the 1st weekend in December we would pile in the car and make the three minute drive to our favorite tree farm to look for the perfect Christmas tree.
Now that Sophia is getting older I have been looking for more opportunities/activities for us to do as a family. While we do a good bit in the warmer months; as soon as it starts to get cold I feel like we stay indoors a lot and since Sophia was less than a year old last year at this time; we hadn't even attempted to look for many activities for colder months.
