Nothing warms my heart more than being able to have my family together for the holiday. I have fond memories of visiting relatives on both sides of my family, eating lots of yummy food, and playing with my cousins as the adults chatted and watched football in the background.
I want Sophia to have similar fond memories and love for the holidays. While she does not does have any cousins (yet!), we are starting our Thanksgiving traditions by having our families over to our home for the holiday.
Christmas may be my favorite holiday to decorate for; but I have started to build my stash to decorate for Thanksgiving now as well. What better places to start building my Thanksgiving decor than our front porch and the dining room. Here is a look at how this years decor turned out!
I got all of the cornstalks and pumpkins from a local farmers market. I purchased the beautiful orange and yellow roses from the grocery store to give a pop of color to the library and living room. Nothing gives a boost to my holiday spirit like the smell of a fireplace. Unfortunately we do not have a fireplace in our home; but Woodwick makes a great candle that gives the illusion of one. The antique silver pieces on my dining table came from Pottery Barn and linens are from Pier1 and Williams Sonoma.
